The St. Louis Rams have released star receiver Torry Holt who was due a $1.25 million bonus on the 17th. Holt, who failed to top 1,100 yards for the first time since 2000, was at odds with former coach Scott Linehan and should have no problems finding a new team.

The St Louis Rams released tackle Orlando Pace but signed fullback Mike Karney to a three year contract who spent the last five seasons with the New Orleans Saints to be a lead blocker for Steven Jackson.
The Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed tackle Willie Colon to a one year deal worth just over $2 million.
The San Diego Chargers signed linebacker Kevin Burnett, formerly of the Cowboys, to a two year deal. Burnett provides depth at the linebacker position as well as some special teams ability to the Bolts.
The Eagles added another saftey to help fill the void left by Brian Dawkins, signing Rashad Baker, formerly of the Oakland Raiders, to a one year deal.
